Right now I am running a Brunetti 2x12 with Vintage 30's, I am plugging into a LPC loaded with a SD JB Sh4.
I play a lot of tool right now and other drop D tuning shit, what would you guys recommend for a cab?
I am very happy with my tone right now, but if there is better I may go that route.

2x12 or 4x12?

I have a Mesa 2x12 with V30's that's nice. And a Bogner 4x12 with Greenbacks that rocks. I also have a set of g12-65's for the Bogner. VH4 sounds great with any of 'em.

For a 4x12, I'd go with Bogner. Their cabs are awesome. For a 2x12, closed back... Mesa.

I was thinking ether 2x12 or 4x12.
The Mesa 2x12 is a smaller box than my Brunetti so I don't think I will go that route.
Never thought of Bogner I will keep that in mind for sure, thanks dude.

I am wondering if another 2x12 cab with v30's would sound much different than the brunetti. (The brunetti has v30's btw)

Don't you also run a metro plexi? Do you run that with the Vh4 at the same time?
I'd like to so something like that.

Im using mine with a Mesa 4x12 with V30's and it sounds great!

Hmmmm..... I don't know..... how about a DIEZEL cab?

I would if you could cover the crazy shipping from Germany to Boston, MA
I missed out on a Diezel cab at Brad's :(

Rear-loaded Diezel Cab is the answer IMO. Also, I apologize, because I own the cab that you missed out on that was at Brad's

The Diezel VH4 cooperates with Greenbacks as well, surprisingly, despite being such a chunk-machine.

Bogner Uberkab 4x12 or Mesa (over-sized) recto 4x12 cab have sounded the best to my ears with the VH4.

You bastard! It's cool, I didn't have the funds anyway...are you local? Or did Brad ship it out for you?

Axe Palace near Boston has a new, German-made Diezel 212RL. Nick, the owner, is a cool dude.

Yeah, and this from the guy who stated:

I gauge my playing by the highest string, and it's one string too far away...

Would this cool dude trade the D-RL2x12 for a new down jacket?

I'd like to so something like that.

Out of every 4x12 cab I've played, Bogner has sounded the best (not the Uberkab, just their regular 4x12 loaded without whatever speakers you want). And I've tried a lot: Bad Cat, Mesa, Marshall, Diezel, VHT, Framus, Orange (the black Orange 4x12 is pretty sweet, though), Splawn (very similar to Bogner), Soldano, and on and on and on.

The Bogner has a great sound. It's just a great all-around cab for whatever type of music you play.

And yeah, I run A Metro Plexi, Ceriatone Chupacabra, and a JCM 800 (2203) as well. Not at the same time, though. They all sound great through the Bogner cab.

And I think Greenbacks are the way to go.

I use a VH4 with a Port City Wave 2x12 standard size loaded with V30s (well, WGS Retro 30s.. close enough). It's a great combination!

I have played through all of the Diezel 4x12s (V30 rear, K100 front, hemp rear) and they are excellent. But for the size, I'm happy with the sound from the Port City 2x12.

If you do go 4x12, my favorite Diezel cab with the VH4 was the V30 rear-loaded.

I too have played/tested nearly every cab worth mentioning here (mostly 4x12s) one might consider as an all around well balanced cab for our style. The Mesa standard and oversized was great. The Bogner was obviously perceived as "thin" sounding in comparison to the above mentioned.

The Diezel 4x12 had them all tap out in the first few seconds of the first round - hands down. The Diezel tone-wise and flexibility was a clear winner in my more-or-less exhausting finding overall. Also, for the record, all the cabs I tested were fitted with Celestion Vintage 30 (BTW - the 30 signifies 30.48 cm or 12 inches) 60W 8-Ohm speakers.
