Been considering trying to trade one of my PRS CE Maples for a Mod100. What's the going rate for an empty Mod100 these days?

Or maybe trying to get an RM100, and then have it "Egnater-ized" by the boys in MI, if they still do that kind of thing.

I just sent an email to Eganter to see if I could convert my RM100 into a MOD100. I just picked up a MOD100 used, empty, $1200. Hoefully the Eganter gang gets back to me because having a backup would be great. Especially since I can probably only get $400 - $500 from the RM100.

Choosing between 3 modules at once is pretty kicking. What's even more ridiculous is that I've never heard a 100 watt head sound so good at bedroom/apartment volumes. I really hope the modular line makes a strong come back, it's such an ingenious design AND incredibly well executed.

Edit: Got mine used too, roughly similar price is I remember correctly. If you see one, don't hesitate to snag it.

Any word back from Bruce and the gang about the mod?

No.

I PM'd Ian and sent an email to the contact Ian/Bruce listed in the "customer service" thread. Nothing, I'm pretty bummed. I would send my RM100 out the door the day they told me I could.

Well, they're certainly not going to win any awards for customer service. Not a shot, a fact. I've emailed/PM'd over a half dozen times the past two weeks, basically begging someone to return my email/PM in which I'm begging to send them my amp and around $500. I guess $500 ain't what it used to be.

Email Bruce directly for this one guys; the support team deals with the GC stuff, you've got to talk to the man about modular. I won't post his email but you can find it by searching. Bruce has always replied to me quickly and the last exchange I had wasn't even for his product, it was for my broken RM4 that he helped me troubleshoot. IMO, the best support in the industry.

I just got a very apologetic and informative email from Alex explaining the delay. I retract my previous statement. Bruce needs to approve directly all mods as he performs them himself. He has been busy and will get back to me shortly. I guess it's time I apologize for being antsy. Bruce has always been very helpful on the MTS forum, even though he didn't have anything to do with the manufacture of the line. I'm going to hold tight and wait for Bruce to contact me directly. Thanks to Alex for his response and explanation.

Crow is being consumed. :aww:

EDITED TO ADD: I was just contacted by Ian as well. I now believe what the majority was telling me that their customer service is top notch. It's going to be a month before they are willing to take in my amp. The have a big show coming up next month in Germany. They do still perform the mod and Ian said he will be in touch with me personally to follow up. I truly am sorry for jumping the gun and making broad based assumptions after one (not so) negative experience. Everyone has really gone out of their way to help me and I'd like to thank them for that.

I just got the word from Ian and my RM100 is going to grow up and become a big boy. It's going to be a late March - early April before Bruce can get around to it because of Musikmesse 2012. That's fine with me. Super-happy and feel horribly for previous posts. There was a much shorter time for response than I had thought and there were some pretty good reasons for the delay. Again, my apologies. I'm happy happy. Along with some apparent news that Eganter will be making NEW modules in the future. See Bruce's post, I believe we can all read into that pretty easily.

That's great news. Maybe I'll start keeping my eye out for an RM100.
