Doctor Love
Probably not going to be your cup of tea....

Duran Duran doesn't get the credit they deserve. GearGasms gets more than it deserves. Let's balance that out and watch an old man use the Positive Grid Spark to live his dream of learning some cool Duran Duran songs. The guitar selected for this journey is the Ibanez PS120, aka the Iceman. Figured it would be a good fit.
People don't like me in real life either, so it's not just you.
Have a Mediocre Weekend!!

I spent half an hour with them in their dressing room back in 1983 bro'.

Truly a long story, but the gist is:

Was "mistaken" for SLB and mobbed by 7.5k girls. Security wouldn't allow me back into the fray (they "rescued me") but the boys wanted to know what all the screaming was about. The newspapers reported that SLB made an impromptu entrance from the back of the hall. No, that was me, and I was just sitting maybe 20 rows back minding my own business waiting for the show to start.

They were definitely cool guys. Yes, Andy could drink! Vodka on-tap when I was with them (basin full of it).

Worst thing about it was that I ignored the 20 -> 30 'phone calls I received every day for the next 3 -> 5 years. Family refused to answer the 'phone when it rang; just yelled my name. 90% of the 'phone calls began with, "You don't know me, but...". I was shy and overwhelmed by the attention. I think it may have scarred me for life when it comes to girls.

Of course, I look back now and think, "What the heck was I thinking?!". It's actually buried deep I guess 'cause I never think about it until something triggers the memory, like... your clip!

I was so embarrassed by the whole thing I don't bring it up (or think about it) to this day. Just figured in this instance, what the heck - "What's the worst thing that could happen in a cock-rock geetar forum?".

I was 16 and green as Hell.

I would have played that to the hilt but I was too old for my age at that age! That's awesome!
