hey guys...need ur input.

Ive been a 4X12 guy forever. But i am now in need of a 2X12 for smaller gigs

any input on a good 2X12 that wont cost me an arm n leg...and sounds close to a 4X12. Using with my Diezel VH4 head

thanks guys!!

Diezel rear, Bogner oversized or even an older Marshall 1936A with a mix of V30/G75Ts.

I love my ported Hermida Audio 2x12 with Vintage 30's. It sounds great with my Triple Rectifier or JTM45. Huge.

A friend of mine just got a Mesa Stiletto 2x12 and he's very impressed with it. I haven't heard it myself yet, but I've played through a Recto 2x12 and it was very good.

I have a Bogner OS 2x12 but don't recommend it for what you want. its almost the same size as my orange 4x12. It even weighs 70+ pounds! Its a pain to carry and the equivalent of moving a bigger cab!

The Bogner oversized cab is 'THE TICKET FOR 4/12 CAB GUYS" ...
I bought the white Anniversay ones. Loaded one with Scumback h/75-65 watter and j/75-65 watter kept the original wiring sound batten etc.. The cab is just as loud and huge sounding as a 4/12 cab... I swear it on my life. you will trip out if you try this... The os-2/12 Bogner cab is only 5 inches shorter in height but trust me it will cure what ails you.

It's not worth it Pauly. Stick with the 412. No matter what anybody says, they just aren't the same - once you are used to your 412's. It's like someone threw a blanket over your rig and you're missing something.

So, just man up or get roadies

I'd highly recommend checking out Emperor cabs. They are built ridiculously well, look f'n sweet and sound even better. I currently don't own a 4x12 since getting mine. I think I remember paying something along $450ish loaded with Eminence speakers.

This is really true -- until one tries out a Port City Wave 212. Forget the OS -- too much bass. The regular 212 is insanely huge sounding and extremely portable.

Definitely agree, especially when you are playing anything with gain on it.

I absolutely love my CAA 2x12 (w/SB M75s). It's a small 2x12 but its ported so it delivers a huge low end. It's also light enough to carry with one hand if needed. I've A/B'd it with my Marshall 4x12 and would challenge anybody to hear a significant difference in a blind test...it really moves some air.

I have several 2x12s I no longer have any 4x12s I like to use 2 2x12s live so I can spread the sound across the stage when no Monitors are available.

I like the Ear Candy Buzzbombs with sugar cones.
I hated the Genz Benz g-flex 2x12 and since sold
I like the ENGL Slanted E212V pro too

People still recommending huge oversized cabs like the Bogner, and I will say it again this thing weights 35kg which is something like 72 pounds!!! Its heavier than my freakin Marshall 4x12 and I ain't kidding, its by no means a small portable cab!

Yes they can sound huge, bigger than a 4x12? not really and I agree with Steve on that, its still a great sounding cab but its BIG and HEAVY...

Whats the point of having a cab with almost the size and weight of a 4x12 if the goal is having a portable cab for smaller gigs?!?!
