the one on the top is a "Virtual PAF" they are discontinued.
the one on bottom is an old PAF Pro, i haven't confirmed the era, but it was called the P-1 before they named them as today's standard.
i am thinking the Virtual PAF will end up in the neck of a LP that i have around. i already have a PAF Pro in one guitar, and while i like it, i don't honestly have a use for it. does it fetch a higher price than modern PAF Pros? i can't really find a price, or a whole lot of info but was able to confirm that it was the original PAF Pro.
i got both in trade from a Bill Lawrence LX500XL. i guess the guy REALLY wanted one, hence the 2 for 1.
what do you all think? i am curious to throw the virtual PAF in the neck of my go-to LP that has a 496R.
or i could put both in a different LP and say adios to the Burstbuckers, which TBH i am not overly fond of.
