Howdy,
have been semi-intrigued by this one on TGP: https://www.thegearpage.net/board/showth ... ?t=1030992
For those that can't see it, it's a USA Peavey HP Special in black cherry.
How do these compare to the Wolfies?
I'm guessing just by virtue of their namesake they don't hold value extremely well, or are there some Peavey Devotees? (Can't try before I buy, unfortunately, and always like to know what I'm dealing with in the event of a quick resale..)

Every bit as quality as the Wolfgangs, pickups sound slightly different though...slightly more mids as compared to the more scooped Wolfie pups. The neck is ever-so-slightly thinner as well, but it's really negligible. I'm a fan of the dark cherry, for sure, but I wouldn't pay more than $900. That's the going rate, I'm not saying they aren't worth much more than that; they really are some of the finest guitars and best-kept secrets out there.
