Shit.......why would he get a signature Gibby? I bet Les is tossing and turning in his grave already. I think they have lost touch with the real talent.

Does it come standard in drop C with a Mess of Dooky Triple Rectumfrier built-in the case...because you need like that to sing on the corner?

You have to have a vasectomy before Gibson allows you to buy one. They ask for a Doctors signature.

I think it LOOKS GREAT!. Not sure why he has one though. Every time I see him he seems to be playing a PRS.

Why did Slash get a a sig Les Paul? Why did Sykes? Or Randy?

Simple: Gibson thought it could sell units. Considering that the Les Paul is a signature instrument to begin with...

How come Gibson keeps doing signature guitars on top of an already signature guitar!??!? I mean Jesus Christ, have a little respect for Mr. Les Paul and his legacy.

Oh, and it's $4100 MSRP>?

We have one at the store I work at. It's a fucking great guitar. I'd play it all day. There is one thing I DO not like about it. The star markers on the side of the neck that go up the fretboard, I could seriously do without those.

Other than that it's a fine guitar. the Piezo pickup sounds good too!

Yeah BUT those guys are great guitar players, this guy is not. I don't really know of anyone that would want to be like Kroeger or idolizes him as a guitarist, I'm not saying they're not out there but I believe most people would rather that this guitar didn't have his name on it. Maybe the guy with this tattoo would like it...

Damn that's funny!

every time i see the dude playing he has a prs. thats weird he has a sig les paul. i am not a huge fan of there's by any means but they have a few decent songs. wether he sucks or not, i will give him credit for finding an audience (a rather dumb one) and sucking them dry of there hard earned money   .

Like him or not, he's one of the biggest rockstars in the world at the moment. He has a ton of hit songs under his belt, and sells out concerts all over the world. Gibson hasn't exactly made a reputation as a company with solid ethics and morals. Their bad reputation as one of the worst companies to work for, certainly doesn't help their credibility. How 'bout that Hendrix guitar they tried to put out a couple years ago? And, the Firebird X!? What is the surprise that they'd do a signature guitar for him?

To be a Canadian and make any money in the music industry is a miracle in itself. I'm not a big Nickelback fan. The guy has a formula and he can actually play. I've heard some stuff and said WTF? why doesn't he do this more..but I guess that's part of the formula.
We as Canadians have way worse exports...Celine, Bieberdouche.

If I was an American I would demand a military take over of Canada just to put a stop to those two alone..wtf is wrong with you guys, c'mon come and take us over....so I can go work in California already...FUCK!!! How long would it take to take us over? A bloody phone call I figure. Stop being so lazy.
As for Gibson....well, you know??

I personally prefer my SC to my LP but both are nice guitars. My Suhr kills them both.

:hys:

So Steve, I guess this means that you will not be buying this guitar   ;)

meh, looks like a nice guitar, if you hate Kroeger, just replace the truss cover, problem solved. At least his name isn't painted on it somewhere. Say what you will about the guy, but he knows how to write songs that appeal to the masses. Like Mark said, he's got the formula down, and it's working well for him. Just because most musicians don't care for him, doesn't make him any less successful to the majority of listeners. If they can bring out emotions in people with their music, they are doing something right. Granted, that emotion might be disgust or the urge to vomit for a lot of us, but they sure have plenty of loyal fans.

This made my day

IMHO :D It's a talent if you can write more than one chord progression. Every single song they put out sounds the same, i think the video is still on youtube where you can hear how you remind me and someday at the same time. Guess what... same song! I heard him on a radio interview say that he wished more people would stop playing guitar hero and start playing the guitar because he was tired of touring with crappy bands, meanwhile he was on tour with Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace. People are gonna follow this guy til the end because most people are sheep. If real talent was recognized Kroeger would be working at guitar center pushing Line 6 Spyder amps and getting boo'd at open mics.
