Hi
I have been a long time lurker on this forum. But never ever had the need to post or even sign up for that matter. I just like browsing gear threads. Getting helpful tips and admiring others gear collections.

However, I just aquired a Tim pedal from a friend who doesn't want it and owed me a few favours. It is a great pedal and from what I can find, looks to be a V2 with the 3 way toggle on top of the pedal. I am hoping someone here might have a bit of knowledge on these pedals and can let me know the history on them?
One thing I wonder is if it maybe a chinese fake? Inside there is something printed under the circuit board on the metal chassis, looks like made in china and I don't know if the builder of these pedals could have had the metal chassis from there. Everything on the outside looks real compared to pics on the net but there is no serial number or anything. I am not that fussed if it is a copy as I got it for nothing and it sounds great. I could post pics but don't really wanna post the internals for fear of upsetting the builder if it was legit. Have attached a pic of the outside.

Hope someone can give a bit of insight into these things.

Actually thought I would post a small pic of the print I saw.

I've not opened my Timmy yet, but just guessing I'd assume the box comes from China and Paul builds into them. Maybe just shoot the man himself an email.

Paul is active on Facebook...I'm sure he'll fill you in. That said, the "Made in China" is the enclosure...it's likely the real deal.

I don’t know that I have heard of any knockoff pedals. And if there were, guessing they wouldn’t start with the “Tim”. I am betting it is legit.

As has been said, hit Paul up on Facebook. Went to college with Paul, good dude.

It is chinese crap, I will give you $10 shipped for it.
