Cool pic, heard about the statue unveiling a few years ago when they did the show with a lot of Thin Lizzy alumni, never seen it though.

Check out this DVD with Gary Moore, Brian Robertson, Scott Gorham, Brian Downey, and Eric Bell...performances are great and there are some interviews on it also. I'm sure Phil would be happy that so many people still love his music and that other bands are keeping the flame burning with some great covers and turning more people onto Thin Lizzy.

i'm a late bloomer when it comes to phil and thin lizzy. but what i've been listening to is great. early twin guitar stuff is awesome. great voice, and later got real heavy with john sykes. can't wait too be well versed in thin lizzy.

Definitely one of my top 5 favorite bands. Hard to believe its been 25 years since Phil died.

My wife is from Dublin and wandered over to the cemetery to find Phil's grave while there. Walked around for about an hour and saw an old lady and asked her if she new where his grave was. She said its pronounced (Lie-not) and yes, I am his mother. Very nice lady. Man, did she catch shit back in the day for being in Catholic Ireland, with an out of wedlock and with a black baby. She persevered though and worshiped the ground Phil walked on. He was a very public figure around Dublin. Cool statue of him outside a bar called Bruxxels off O'Connel St.

Dude, you got' the killer info straight from the source on that on  e

Do you remember when you first heard the news that Buddy Holly died? Nah, me neither, I'm not that old.

But I do clearly remember the exact moment when I heard the news Phil Lynott had died...

I just picked up their live cd about two months ago. Love Thin lizzy the had some great songs.

1.The Warrior
2. The cowboy song
3. Emerald

And so on.

Phil worshiped his mom just as much...I've seen clips when he would have her on talk shows with him. Great singer, songwriter, frontman...he just had 'it'. Sorely missed.

He was great.

I played on a Phil tribute CD about 10 years ago.

Great stuff, I must have worn out three tapes of "Live and Dangerous" back in the day.
RIP Phil

RIP Phil.

I really need to pick up some more Thin Lizzy Albums, I have a few, but its just not enough. Adding Still Dangerous to the list too. :)
