I have all my delay shit on ebay right now, it is dated due to this coming out.

I will wait still the Sage himself, Mentoneman, bestows his views before buying.

Those Strymon guys rule. Got to have this one too someday.

I feel like the guys that bought an Axe-FX the week before the Axe II got announced. I bought an El Capistan about 4 weeks ago. :poke:

Just kidding, I am totally fine with El Capistan and not even using 50% of what it is capable of anyways. These clips do sound good though. All I have to say is I am so happy I added a clean channel to my Cali mod. Makes the price of the El Capistan worth it.

Sounds good, I'm changing my direct deposit to Strymon until I get all the stuff of theirs I want.

+1, i spent a long time waiting to come across a decent damage control timeline

like you though i am 100% happy with what i found though. it is complete overkill for what i use it for, i wouldnt need everything that the new damage control timeline has and plus i prefer the analog smear of real tubes in the previous model(s) from the damage control alias.

these clips do sound great though, a very modern sounding delay - it has a dark city street light character to it that im loving. definately badass, if i were in the market for a TC2290 i would be looking at this beast instead

Delays to eBay before the delay sell off hits again, the TC Flashback almost took the delay world by storm. Now this comes out and forces TC to rethink their game plan.

I'm pretty happy with my Brigadier and El Capistan so I'm going to hold my ground for a while with these. Don't think i could fit the Timeline on my board anyway.

Sounds great.

Are these Strymon units the Grey Poupon of pedal based effects?

The El Capistan is amazing I love it. How do you like the Brigadier? I am guessing it compliments the El Capistan really well?

Have a board with Dave now.

Strymon, Timeline, Lex, Reverb
Klon Centaur
Suhr Koko Boost
Custom Wah

Should be cool.

I have the El Cap into the input of the amp and the Brig into the effects loop. The Brig replaced a Flashback. I actually like not having to scroll through menu's and 1 favorite setting keeps me happy.

I've become a big fan of the TC Flashback. Excellent tape echo, ping pong and reverse delays . the echo's dont get in the way of notes, they sorta just hang out in the backyard. I only wish you could download more than one toneprint...version 2 i guess may solve that.

My El CAp is not going anywhere, love that pedal to death and it is paid for :D I don't think I could get the Timeline on my board and I wonder if the PP2+ will power it. I am done being a dog chasing it's tail, shit Roland nailed perfection imo over 30 years ago with the 501 Space Echo.

Have you done a vid covering the new clean addition yet?? My Cali is going out for the town green gig soon, sort of wish I had the switcher working as I have to hit some toggles mid song

Perfect match to me, high quality stuff. I loved how in front of a gainy amp the El Capistain just kind of lays over the tone and leaves a blend of dry there, not sure how they do this but makes it have that dirty tape delay type tone mixed with good drive for a really nice experience. My favorite delay so far, want to try the Brigadier.
