2 things I highly recommend for the JMP-1

1. Get it modded by Trace @ Voodoo Amps. I got mine modded and it sounded way better, had much better EQ versatility, and clean tones sounded way better and were MUCH more usable. Had much better / tighter bottom end, and added much more clarity. I have had my JMP-1 modded for about 2-3 years now and I still love the sound.

2. Use a BBE Sonic Maximizer between the JMP-1 and your power amp. My power amp of choice is the VHT 2/90/2. With that power amp / preamp and a BBE, its HUGE sounding. The BBE in my rig helped cut a little mids, and add some low low end, and adding some sparkle to the high end. I don't use the BBE to color my sound heavily, but it helped liven it up some.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. I've been using a JMP-1 for about 6 years w/ an assortment of power amps and a Lexicon MPXG2.
