Every once in a while I got some jerk who stared at me long enough to notice it, and the following conversation would ensue:
"What the fuck duuuuuude... Are you wearing make-up?"
"Yes."
"Are you a fag?"
"No."
But most paid no attention. Just like I don't go up to people wearing caps or baggy pants and start insulting them and their choice in attire.
In some places you can walk around in the most ridiculous outfits, and nobody takes offence. But other places feel the need to insult, threaten and beat you (I have never been beat up because of this BTW). Why I don't know... But something is wrong inside you if a mans attire makes you violent. Or even angry.

Sorry to say....I appreciate their energy but hate that singer. No balls in his voice and he still looks like he just got done with a D&D tournament. It's not just upbeat music with blazing Marshall's I miss. It's a look, an attitude, the band looks cool but reckless. Could give you the best night of your life and still fuck your girlfriend.
It could just be that being older and having played in many a band I see through all the attempt at rock image and see the dorks hiding underneath. Who's to say in the 80's it was any different and that I was just looking at it through young eyes, eager to buy the fantasy. But looking back on what's been revealed and documented about those days, it was pretty real.
Plus as nit picky as it sounds I'm over beards in metal/rock bands. It's like boys trying desperately to appear as hard men (go for it Barzini![]()
)
At least when I was last playing out in Seattle '05 and before there were a few bands trying to do the Valiant Thor kind of sound. All just didn't have the singer to take it over the top. Just screachers in skinny jeans.

I disagree, please come to some real Death Metal shows. I feel your luck will change quickly.
