VERY interesting........mid 80-ies to early 90-ies is soundwise where I´m at home and I´m pretty confident that in this aera some of the best tunes were written and some of the best guitar sounds were produced.......think about TBR, Bogner Fish, CAE 3+, Jackson Guitars and so on......
think about early Toto, Fee Waybill/Tubes, early Van Halen, The Police, Saga from Canada etc.etc.etc........this is something that NEVER will come back..........as music develops like a language, ever changing :yes: :yes:

Yeah, I´m definitely with you there. I´ve got the TBR set up for those classic west coast tones from the very early 80´s (pretty slick with lots of sustain, but it´s not a particularly aggressive or distorted tone), and the K55 handles the hard rock business since it´s more or less in the JCM800 school of tone.
