The green channel on the VHT CL50 is my single favorite channel on any amp I have ever owned/played....and I am a thrash guy, through and through.
Excellent amp.
I will still take my Axe Fx over it though....I can get thrash tones for days along with anything else that strikes my fancy.
Axe Fx----->VHT 2/50/2---->two Avatar 4x12's loaded with G12K-100's=

The Green channel definately makes the amp. I will basically use this as a single channel amp. I just wish the gain stacking (hi/normal) and "edge" functions were footswitchable like the "boost". That would be the ulitimate single channel amp IMO.
