Does Tom Anderson still make Pro Ams in the bowling ball finish, or do you have to find a used one?

Yes. I believe he only does them on custom orders as he sends them to a partner to complete the bowling ball finish. I may be off. Metalpuss here at Rig-Talk would know better than I.

I have exactly what you're looking for. I'm going to be selling my original black and white one.

Is that like the finish on the Tom Anderson that Kirk Hammett used to play?

So awesome. How does that finish mean "bowling ball" though can someone explain?

Yes sir, Kirk has two of them. The finish is supposed to resemble a bowling ball. They are all hand painted by Pat Wilkins who has done every one of them for Tom Anderson. Tom sends them out to be painted and its a $675 upcharge to a Pro Am on the order form.

$675!! Yowsa! But still really cool

That's MSRP, but the dealer takes a little off that price just like everything else.

Selling?? Wow, never thought I would see that happen.

Yes sir. It was in mint condition even shipped in a Tom Anderson box. My dumbass had it home for all of two hours and put a scratch on the back when my screwdriver slipped while putting the back plate back on. It sat new for 5 years and I fuck it up in two hours.

It's a tiny scratch though.

My screwdriver slipped the first time I adjusted the bridge on my brand new Slash LP a few months ago.
Lovely gouge/scratch in it now. It was meant to be a keeper anyway, sounds damn nice.

We actually have a brand new one on order delivering soon, Pro Am done to the exact spec of Kirks.
