Got the GAS bad for a Cobra. Let's see your Cobras !

Some thoughts racing through my mind :

- Anyone have any A/B experience with TA's new two bolt/neck pocket design vs. the 4 bolt method ? Is it better than before ?

- Does Tom still dislike Ebony ?

- Anyone try a KOA top instead of maple on a Cobra (or any TA) ?

I do know that Tom will not do 24 frets

I've owned a couple. They're pretty cool but i was never 100% comfy with the tele shape, it felt like it was always nose diving when i stood up. Not sure if a different strap would have helped. I also owned a the S shape, but at the time i prefered my Drop Top to the Cobra. I wouldn't worry too much about 2 bolt versus 4 bolt. The 4 bolts are fine, but yes the 2 bolt wedgie is cool and pretty comfy

Beautiful guitar, haven't played it much. Maybe I'm saving it for when I get out of my wannabe shredder phase....

Thanks Mike. Thats ok as the neck pup on a 22 fret guitar gives a more classic tone.

I just wish they used Ebony fingerboards.....

It's actually a poor tonewood for electrics...looks great though

Depends on the guitar. I wouldn't use it on a basswood or swamp ash guitar but it really brings out the ring on a mahogany guitar.

I thought I had some pics of mine...they are mia. I'll have to get some around. I have an older Hollow Cobra no BFTS or SS frets with the 4 bolt and a newer solid cobra with BFTS / SS frets and 2 bolt. They are both great guitars. My older one has a bit thinner neck than the new one.
