Found an amp in my collection that had a similar tone to VH stuff, ran a mike from it into my DAW where I had a tone matching EQ pulled from VH II. then went from there to my Kemper, modeled it, here it is.
On the clip I did all the delay and verb in the DAW/with VSTs, did nothing to the guitar tone itself or anything else. Wasn't going for the Panama tone, just a nice generic VH sound, maybe if Panama had been recorded in '79 instead of '84.
Several free clams included, my pinky finger is jacked up right now and so I had to three finger the song. I also got the volume wrong at the beginning (was too low on the Kemper) so I just kept rolling until I got the right level and edited the clip from there.
