I loaned Myles Kennedy my rear loaded Diezel 4x12 cab with Hemp Cones to record the new Slash record. Sounded phenomenal with his Schmidt.

Maybe I should give the Hemp Cone a try when I order the Hagen? (I think I'll go for a RL cab). I am not a metal guy but play rock, hard rock, blues and fusion. I do enjoy a fat saturated distortion though. Can the Hemp Cones delivery as much bottom end as, say V30?

It delivers a different kind of bottom end. But I can´t describe it.

My take on the ceramic hemps is that they do not sound harsh at all, but as they break in, to me, seem to enunciate the notes in a sweeter fashion then a paper cone might do. I was not able to get the hemps to sound shardy, or hurt my ears with high end applied.

It is a dark sounding speaker, but has a slightly different tone due to the hemp. It is hard to explain until you try one out. They sound outstanding with a Schmidt.

They should keep a Tele from sounding too shrill.
