Tonex max opinions

I tried the free version, Tonex CS, and didn't care for it but was wondering if the Tonex max version is better since you can download patches from tone net and more amp models available. Hate to spend the money just to find out it sounds basically the same. I have read in recent posts of people saying that the brown sound pack was the shit. I also have amplitude 5 but rarely use it as I think the neural and bias fx software sounds better. I couldn't find much on the software stand alone version of tonex, mainly just threads on the tonex pedal.

The standalone versions of Tonex differ only in the included rigs.

Free version only let's you download 20 cloud or imports. This is pretty limited.

Tonex can also be loaded in Amplitube so you can use the full effects with the Tonex models.

I personally would demo the rigs included in Max to determine if they are what you need. Otherwise regular Tonex may work.

I would check the hardware pedals as different version of Tonex are included free with them.

The larger pedal includes Max. Not sure about the limited edition Tonex One pedals.

Just to add, I bought a ToneX one a few days ago and as far from my quick testing of it, you have access to the 50k captures available on the ToneX cloud. Very easy to get lost into trying out patches.

Also, with the free ToneX software, you can try all the available captures but some will add a glitching sound if you don't have the full version.
