HE IS JUST "THE" DUDE!

I heard that Sound When I was 10 Years old, and I said; "Yep! This is What I Like.... "

I started playing guitar JUST because of Him. PERIOD!

:worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

Let's say a prayer for him guys...

When I finish building my new rack (thread later) I am going to try and dial in his tone. Now if I could get him to play through it for me :D

I agree Black Sabath to me will always be the godfathers of metal. Thier tone, presence and song writing can still be heard in metal these days. Even the djenters still retain that basic foundation Black Sabath laid many years ago.

I remember the first time my dad put on the song Black Sabath it scared the shit out of me. I was like 7-8 years old and he had just got his new pioneer sound system and cranked that shit up. It took me till half way through the song before I got the nerve to open my door and come out and ask my dad who this was playing on the 45. The rest is history instant metalhead and 25 years later still love Black Sabath and still a metalhead.

T. I. simply rules, the history of hard rock/metal would be vastly different if it were not for him and the other Sabs, who defined the genre, IMHO.

On a serious note, Tony has been diagnosed with Lymphoma, and the 2012 tour has been canceled, or at least it has morphed into something else:

Godspeed, and positive vibes for HEALING, goes out to Tony and his family at this time. Cancer SUCKS.

His tone on the "Heaven and Hell" live DVD with Dio is absolutely huge. Never been a Laney guy, I tried them early on and did not care for them, but they sound great on that DVD

Hey...

Those amps he used on that Album/Tour were Dawk Modified Marshalls Running 6550's Not laneys... So you knew what you heard!

Meaning?

Google these two words.........the dude.

From the movie "The Big Lebowski". One of my faves. It's getting kind of a cult following now. When I hear "the dude" this is the first thing I think of now   .

If you haven't caught the movie yet treat yourself.

These were awesome vids

Crazy how it's so simple in many ways, the tunes that Sabbath was putting out back in the day, but man - the ground they were breaking was massive. Those licks, riffs...the approach was just so different - SO massive.

Awesome post.

Agreed. They were so original! Their vibe was their own!

You are not alone. We are many... I thought the same thing.
It's more than a movie... it's a life style.

Many of his leads are just as much hooks as the rhythm riffs. Learning this stuff was so easy because I was so very familiar with what they sound like. For most people getting a clear mental picture of the music is the most difficult part of learning. Like driving the physical part is unconscious most of the time...

I 2nd praying for our friend Tony....

This is awesome. I glad someone put whole show up on youtube. I just have a shitty copy on vhs.
