Who thinks this is too good to be true?

Apparently this is a wireless foot controlle that is connected to a 1O input pedal switcher and can be controlled by a tablet app to set up MIDI routing and presets.

This "SmartSwitcher" seemed like a great idea. I was ready to pull the trigger on purchasing it then the CEO of the company sent out a mass message to prospective customers that issues materialized with production, production has been delayed, he doesn't want to lose respect from his customers and the company will have updates on when production will begin "soon". That was almost a month ago.

I understand there are still supply chain issues and a huge chip shortage. But should I bail on purchasing this product? It seems the company doesn't have its act together frankly.

Anyone have any thoughts or know anything about what might be going on with this company and this product?

I´m terrified by the idea of having an app to program it, if you're planning on using the stuff more than a few years. Hopefully you can program it some other way too.

But yeah, tiny companies like this is always a risk. The CEO is probably the only dude working there and it doesn't take much to fall behind or get into trouble.

Look into the boss ES-8. Stick to the major names for midi and pedal switching for continued support and assuring a good UI experience since they know what they’re doing for long term use.

It looks like a cool product.

I wouldn't spend that much on any gear that isn't readily available and proven to be reliable.

Did look into the BOSS but I want everything of my pedalboard except the CryBaby Junior, the Dunlop Volume X 8 and the foot switcher on the board. Everything else will be in the rack.

I’ve decided to do with the RJM Effects Gizmo in the Rack and the RJM Mastermind LT on the pedalboard.

But thank you for the suggestion.
