Tough to get a good soung with my Strat and my 101b

Anyone else have this issue? I use the Les Paul and the freakin thing speaks to me but with the EJ Strat, I don't know it doesn't sound that good. Any channel. Now when I plug the strat into the Dr Z man forget about it, what a sound.

Any help out there.
 
With a Strat, I might try lowering the mids a little and setting bias a little hotter. Past that? Play around with the bright switches and excursion settings. I'd expect N and M or L to sound better for the Blue and Red channels....

What have you tried and what kind of sound are you going for?
