DESCRIPTION:
Traben’s signature model bass for Greg Weeks of technical deathcore legends The Red Chord.

This is an immense powerhouse of a bass for those on a budget that is tighter than their low end. There is a very present, punchy bump in the lows for those handling the deeper frequencies in their bands.

Spec highlights:
— Paulownia body
— Spalted maple top
— "Earthy” autumn-colored brown/orange/red burst with a satin finish
— 34” scale length
— Maple neck with bolt-on construction
— Rosewood fretboard
— 24 frets
— Traben high-mass, internal bridge (the bridge extends into/through the body wood)
— Rockfield humbuckers (positioned close together in the “sweet spot”)
— Aguilar OBP-3 preamp
— Controls: 3-way pickup selector blade, 3-band EQ (one knob per band), volume knob, coil-split switch (splits to the outer coils)

The finish colors on these Greg Weeks models varied wildly. I’ve seen some that were more dirt brown, some that were more autumn red, and some that were straight-up dark green with some deeper spalting/figuring in the top.

This bass does have some aesthetic wear-and-tear from being used in live gigs. All cosmetic imperfections such as scratches, scrapes, dings, dents, and chips are documented in the photos. There is also some slight glossing to the satin finish around the areas where the forearm and the thumb typically rest while playing.

An official Traben hardcase is included in the sale.
