Don't know if this question would go in this thread but how do trades work on the classifieds? Like is it just a mutual trust thing and both people ship their items for trade at the same time? Also what would the trade value of say a mint rhodes colossus with the rhodes logo be?

I do trades with people I know, or established forum members with good records in the trading post area, or have the confidence of people I know/respect on the forum.

As for a Rhodes colossus, I'd try to make any trade I could to score it from you. Wish I could let something go just to tempt you, but I love all the amps I have way too much.

If be looking for a guitar and amp for the rhodes. Like an ESP or jackson or something in the $1000 range. Then an amp in the $1000 range. An ESP m-II and an uber would be ideal. I have no history on here with snyone besides buying the rhodes from a forum member so I suppose he may vogue? Vouge? For me. I' love the rhodes, and I bought it knowing I wouldn't be looking at amps in a few months, but here I am looking at guitars. Just want something with s thinner neck, typical 16in radius 25.5 scale type deal. I'd also be into high end Ibanez rg's. I know people would def start offering up, it would have to be for the perfect guitar (and amp) im looking for. Currently playing a Schecter blackjack atx c-1 with the 57/66 set. Actives aren't my thing either, just want a new guitar really lol, but don't have the $.

Chances of a "perfect" guitar are kinda slim. Even if its exactly your specs,it may be a dud for you somehow.

Sell the amp, the start searching for what you think you might want.

Good luck with the hunt. Hope you can get what you really want. Life rules when you do.

Thanks man, I need to just save and buy used or Atleast get some passives in my guitar.

Man I would stay away from trades in general. Just an overall PITA.

I prefer passive pickups that are medium output. Try to keep the Rhodes if you can.

Search the classifieds. There are some nice guitars on there..my old Charvel Custom for instance, and a few more...Jackson Custom shops....check those out. They'd probably have to give up some cash to boot...those guitars are in the 1500 range..

If you want to sell your amp outright, I will buy it. PM me if you want to further discuss.

Also, my latest admission to myself is that I can find a really nice used guitar in the 5-700 range and like it as much as that Charvel Custom I had. So I sold it and got 1500, took that and found a Hamer USA Diablo for 499 at a Guitar Center. Freaking love it, great condition and plays as good as that Custom I had. I just found a Charvel USA Pro Mod on GC online for 399...some shmoe painted the pick guard and neck pickup gold so some TLC is involved....but gonna grab it and give it a try. And you have 30 days to return it.....I would keep the Rhodes and try to find a good used axe. They're out there..

Haha that's cool man, and yea I'm not looking to get rid of it, I love it, was just looking at guitars and what not. It does seem like a pain though too cause I only have one of everything, so If I were to trade anything, I couldn't jam untill I got the other persons items blH blah. yea, il save for a guitar and but used. Or just get some passives in my guitar.

Last thing you want is to let something go and regret it....many of us on this forum have that history! Those are great amps, if you like it then yeah just save up for your next guitar. Try some MCP or BKP passives in your guitar..great pickups. Or Duncan/Dimarzio too.lots of options
