Im assuming this finish only looks good on highly figured tops and maybe ash bodies. Has another done this over Alder?

The colors on figured tops are all hand-stained and each piece of figured maple takes the stain a little differently. Stain colors won't work on alder. The colors for alder and ash are sprayed.

Trans-blue denim definitely does work well on figured tops!
