Hey dudes,
I have a Wild Card 5 on the way and I want to prevent the Floyd from going back and also give me the ability to do a drop tuning on the fly.

The two options I see are the Tremol-No and a Big Brass Block. Any recommendations on which would be best?

Also, I see three different sizes of Brass Blocks.. 32mm, 37mm, or 42mm.. which would be the right one?

dont think the block will assist with the floyd not doing pull ups Poop. You need a trem-stop for that, or the tremol-no will work. As far as I have used the brass block (have on 2 guitrars) it is to add mass and musical quality as alot of ppl complain that the tone of floyds is shallow/thin. Guess you are thinking of adding D-Tuna for the drop tuning?

I heard that the brass block will rest right up against the cavity on the Wild Cards and will prevent pull ups as well as add some sustain. I have the tremol-no on order, I guess I will try that first.

The brass block will limit the amount you can pull up but won't prevent it. I've put brass blocks and trem stops on all my Floyd guitars. They sound much bigger and are just easier to deal with now.

For that guitar, you would want the 37mm brass block. It would take minimal effort to block the trem once yiou have a brass block in there and that would be a best of both worlds solution IMO.

Awesome! thanks.

Will the Tremol-No still work with that block?

I'm not sure. I have installed about three dozen big brass blocks so far, but never installed a Tremol-No with one.

Cant remember the size of mine but the Big Brass on mine (San Dimas II) fits right against the routing.
And the bridge sits level to the body.....go figure that one.
