Played it @ Sweetwater after the Adrian Belew show

The Charvel didn't do it for me.

I just didn't connect with it at all.

I got home, and played my Gutierrez, and thought, "Wow, there is no better guitar available."

I went to buy one last week. I just didnt dig the neck shape :( everything else was awesome.

How was the show?

(Rickenbackers do it for me  )

The rhythm section is a brother and sister (Julie, 23 y/o - Eric, 21 y/o)

I thought they were AT LEAST as good at their respective instruments as Adrian was @ guitar.

This rhythm section could have made any of us sound like world class players.

I was kinda bummed. He didn't bring any racks of eventide or TC gear.

It was just a johnson millenium 250, sitting on it's end between 2 marshall cabs.

pedals = digitech jimi hendricks pedal for backwards stuff, boomerang looper, digitech whammy, roland vg-99 synth.

It was cool though, and crowded as hell. I got to sit front row.

I remember back about 1990 Sound sculpt had a phone number in GP. I called it talked to the guy for 1/2 hour before I asked who am I talking to. The answer was Adrian. We talked for more than 4 hours that day and we talked a few times after that. He invited me out. I wish I would have taken him up on it. Great guy.

If you want racks Gene you need to see Fripp and his new project that he has been doing, some sort of ambieant free form jam thing. 2 20 U racks stuffed with Eventide and TC...........................

For me the neck shape and neck overall was the only good thing about it, and everything else was a letdown, especially the tone.
