worst to best

gibson les paul studio-for the price, no. dont get me wrong, the quality was fine on this one, no issues with QC on it, just the neck felt kinda plasticy, if that makes sense and it kinda lacked character. the neck felt odd for my hands too. spent no more than 5 minutes with this one. price was £999

dean razorback white with gold stripes-this one had an OFR but the bar wasn't in. cheaper than the LP and a huge improvement, the guitar being £799. baring in mind it was through a spider jam amp, i wasnt too keen on the tone of this one, probably because of the dimebucker. shredding and vibrato were much smoother and felt much more like a guitar compared to the LP (seems odd). was a great guitar, but not my favourite.

dean dave mustaine VMNT silver-definitely my favourite of the three. the tone from the thing was awesome, the QC was great, lightweight body, easiest to play and was fairly comfortable sitting down. it made the amp i was playing through come to life! the guitar needed a string change though, but other than that, if i had the money i would have walked out with it (£599, cheaper than anywhere else i've seen)

Gibson guitars are some of the last guitars I would ever call plastic in feel.

me neither, but this one just...did. shame cuz my friends sg was f'ing brilliant and much much more natural feeling.

I wanted another Les Paul last summer and I know exactly what you mean about the "plastic" feel. It's something about the laquer on the necks. It's restricting. Sure with time you can break it in but there are so many guitars out there that just feel right from the get-go. I ended up buying a PRS SC 245...it just blew me away.
