205. i think ill get the 410 though as id like the versatility and headroom, plus the store i tried it in was selling the 205 for £746 i can get a 410 for the same price from http://www.gak.co.uk

Some guys say the 205 sounds better than the 410. Dont know, I love my 410, but havent compaird them side by side. Wow, you UK guys get good prices on marshall

If you want an actual PURE clean tone, then the 410 is the only way to go. Those 2 channel models' clean tone is very dirty at best. Plus, I just dig the 410 more.

It's a nice amp for sure. Best reverb I've heard on any tube amp. I still prefer the VM to it. Glad you found an amp you like.

Keep an eye out on eBay for one for £200 or under. I found some serious killer deals on older Marshall cabs on eBay, if you can find an older one from the early 80's or late 70's, for the right price, grab it!! Otherwise, you should be able to find a decent 1960B/BX/BV which will work just fine for ya!

I actually liked the JVM thru V30's much more than the 75's.

If you shop around for the jvm 205 you can find them for less than £600.. ive seen them advertised in the magazines for less than 600 in the classifieds section..

and some of the shops do great deals on them too...maybe even more so in january!!

I really liked the 205 I played a few months back. Channel two on the orange mode was enough gain for my metal tastes!! It was $1550 Cdn new at the time though, a little steep. Went back a week later and it was gone !
