Anyone own or try a Trillium? If so, what's it like? Controls: Volume, Bass, Treble. What a change this would be from my Axe-Fx!

I saw a pic of their Seraph cabinet (their pic link is broken?), went to their site and saw the Empyrean - damn these look sweet to me. Too bad the prices are where they are though. You can choose your wood veneers and combinations too.

Here's the Empyrean - I bet I could get this for our formal living room with little grief from my wife, except the price:

Trillium Archetype cabinets? I like  But what do they sound like? It looks like its the same basic amp (Nace M1-7) in different cabinetry?

No one? Bueller? Bueller?

No one tried a Trillium at NAMM or elsewhere? No one here owns one? :scared:

They're beautiful, I'd be afraid to use one. Honestly I'd be more inclined to buy a plate steel in flat black, if only because I'm rough on gear.

Beautiful, but where's the practicality ?

That amp is obviously targeted towards TGP crowd.

If I had that, it would be the nicest piece of furniture I own.

This would be a piece of fine furniture for me too, no practicality as I wouldn't move it from the living room - but that room has more space than my closet of a studio, so it would be a great bedroom (er, living room) stay-at-home amp (If it sounds great, and if I could afford one!) We've got a great dining room set, so this would be my/our second nicest piece of furniture. Like everything else in the formal rooms, they're more for show / to look at, not really use, so I'd be careful every time I used it   But I'd get more use out of this amp than anything else in those rooms now, especially at this price, for sure!

Still; it looks great, too expensive (for me), I still haven't heard one. Fighting GAS on this one, have to sell the car (and more) and walk / bus. I hope it sounds awful  so I won't want it. (well, the sound clips on the Trillium site sound great for what I want / like, so that will not work...maybe one of the less expensive combo models?)

TGP crowd? Nah, I'd say the antique auction crowd - ala Southeby's  more like it.
