Is the wheel-adjustable truss rod in a MIM Charvel a bi-directional truss rod?
Yes. Righty tighty, lefty loosey...There's a dead spot where you'll get nothing for a few turns if you're making a drastic adjustment. I've gotten a few that had WAY too much bow, and as I go to tighten, it was like I hit a spot where it did nothing until it starts to work the other direction. Same if it was too straight and you wanted more bow.Is the wheel-adjustable truss rod in a MIM Charvel a bi-directional truss rod?
That's gotta have a lot of bow in the neck, no? Sounds like it just got loosened way too much. You should start feeling tension when it's starting to straighten the neck out as you go clockwise.I turned it left (counter-clockwise) and the wheel just spins. I took the neck off and the wheel came off. I can tighten it back on, but if I try to loosen it the wheel starts coming off.

That's odd..It's the other way -- doesn't move clockwise. Counter-clockwise the wheel starts to loosen. I think it's too tight.
I also think the Locktite solution will probably do the trick. I had considered it but didn't know if anyone else had tried it.
