Hi all. I recently purchased an Einstein combo, and I'm having a total blast playing this thing. Awesome amp with great versatility.
It has EL34s and I'm thinking about switching to 6l6s. I tried this swtich in a VH4 and it really improved the cleans and seemed to make the higher gain tones cut through a little better too. I'm kind of after the same results with the combo.
So, does anyone run their Einstein with 6l6s? Also, any recommendations for preamp tubes?
