Heard them on XM and was intrigued by their quirkiness and mixing of genres so I looked up some of their stuff. They're different and the heavier parts of their tunes are very Meshuggahish. Definitely have a sense of humor.

Great Aussie band. They are supporting Fear Factory here very soon. Live they use Line 6 POD gear, including Variax etc and use it to switch sounds and tunings etc. Actually sounds pretty good. And Stevic their guitar player is actually classically trained and is a beast of a player.

And they have an awesome sense of humour!

GREAT band... shocked as shit they are not huge. Bought all thier cds, would love to see live here in the states.

that has got to be one of the best videos i have ever watched!

This! That was very entertaining, had a Faith No More vibe in there.

That seems perfect for the newer generation that lives by 30 second sound bytes and is much more eclectic than the gens before. That was a pretty well done mix of styles. Very cool.

This is their first video (the one released before Coming for You)

And a live version of Coming For You.

Yep, great band - bought their album online a while ago after seeing the Periphery guys talking about them on facebook. Tis a great album, reminds me of FNM, Incubus, etc, but they definitely have their own vibe going on too.

Just downloaded it from iTunes. Some very interesting cool stuff. Their vocal harmonies remind me of King's X. Might have to jump in the car for some "serious" listening. :D

Great freakin band. Been into them for awhile . They are on a whole other plain musicianship wise IMHO. With them and Karnivool there is great prog coming out of the land down under.

IMO just a mix of stuff thats been done much much better before

the humour is the typical australian 'take the piss' thats very deep seated in insecurity

WOW!!! I didn't know Dr Phil played guitar! That's awesome!!

Guess you don't like the song? That's cool, it's not for everyone. But I especially liked how you psychoanalyzed my entire country from one 3 and half minute song! I'm impressed!

How's that for taking the piss?

Me personally, I like a "deep seat". It's the deep seeds I watch out for. Sounds like someone's either putting out their own insecurities or their woman ran into some vacationing Australians and got the deep seat!

FWIW...I'm from Australia too, full disclosure an' all.

Couldn't care less about this band though :aww:

i think the video is entertaining and funny...like they are cool enough to not take themselves so seriously. cool.

on the flip side, there are not breaking new ground with any of the styles they play. i wish they would have just stayed the course with the Ninja metal jam. just my thought. when i listen to their music (i have all of the cd's) i like the metal parts of the songs the best. i guess the "other" styles help me appreciate it more when they go metal.

it's like they say "you can't appreciate the sun until it stops raining". if it's sunny all of the time, you get used to it and stop noticing the beautiful sky. rain makes you care again. and so it is with their switching of styles. bad metaphor? who cares? you get the picture. you either like or you don't.

They need to go back and learn some more from their forebears

Got me thinking about these guys...awesome musicians and good sense of humor
