K, so I have my H&K Triamp, which I'm using chiefly lately, especially since i managed to fix the goddamn thing finally (weird bad treble pot problem) but I also like to keep my 6505+ as a backup. I run either head through a Peavey 412MS cabinet which is switchable between Mono (16ohms) and Stereo (8ohms). Both amp heads have selectable impedances.
I'm not looking to run both heads into the cab at once and A/B them or anything. I would just like to have the 6505+ plugged in and in standby mode so if something happens with the triamp, basically all I have to do is power it off, plug the guitar into the 6505+ and take it off standby.
So my question is, would it hurt to have a second head plugged into the cab and in standby mode at the same time as I'm playing the other amp through the same cabinet? Or hell could I even just leave it unplugged from the cab and in standby mode or does that still wreck the trannies?
