Im looking for an Attenuator for my Mesa & Bogner. It looks like Torpedo makes one that is dual so I could have both amps on at the same time. They also have USB, guessing I can record with Garage Band, and they have Cab sims. I think this might be my final piece if it fits my needs.

Anyone here use one? Dual or Single? How do they like it? Free updates/Cab IR's?

I see they have another unit Torpedo Live : digital loadbox powered by Torpedo technology

Hi jlbaxe,

let me give you slome proper information about the Two Notes products (as I build them) :

- The LB-202 is not on the market right now, we only build it "on demand" and it's quite expensive actually.
- There is no USB on the LB-202. The USB on VM-202, VB-101, TORPEDO Live and C.A.B. is here to remote control the units with your computer. There is no embedded soundcard.
- We do not build attenuator but loadboxes, there is no sound anymore.

You just plug your amp speaker out (8 Ohms) to a VB-101 or TORPEDO Live and you get a digital out signal you can send to any soundcard with AES (VB-101) or S/PDIF (VB-101 and Live).

Let me know if I can be of any help. ;)

Cani go USB out of the VB-101 or VB-202 into my Mac into garage band? Or do I need something in between the two?

If your Mac has an optical input, you can add either an M-Audio or Hosa spdif coax to optical converter, either one is $125ish afaik. As Guillaume mentioned above, the USB is only to load impulses, firmware, and remote control, ...no audio.

No optical but I have a L6 Pro Hd and Axe II with spdif in/out. Will that work?

I hope S/PDIF works on the Axe 2, so you can do this setup :

Amp (speaker out) ->(speaker in) VB-101 / Live (S/PDIF out) -> (S/PDIF in) Axe FX II (USB)-> computer

Put the Axe II in S/PDIF slave mode, the TORPEDO in master.

This way you can have the sound from your amp, the TORPEDO speaker/miking sim and the Axe II effects. Actually this is a setup I saw quite a few times, expensive but apparently very effective.
