Wow - that's a big quake.

Best of luck to you @mentoneman and everyone else potentially affected. Isn't @errrrrl / faka also from Hawaii? Also wondering about @scottosan in Japan but he's probably not on the coast.

This is wild. My earthquake app is showing all the recent quakes in the area. I didn't find the exact one in question but all of these purple dots are 5.0 mag or higher. I mean I've heard of aftershocks but damn :dunno:




Could go down as one of the biggest overall plate movements in some time. Granted there are literally hundreds of quakes up and down the west coast on any given day, but the fact that these are all 5.0 or higher is impressive.
