Lorn Leber has somewhat of a legendary status amongst the jazz-fusion aficionados in the Bay Area and I wasn't even aware that he owns seven Suhr guitars. He's definitely an under-the-radar kind of guy and it seems he's really never been interested in promoting himself - till now.
Had a nice chat with him today and he said that he had a couple of videos he shot at home of his original instrumental fusion tunes and asked if I'd be interested in checking them out. I said, "Sure! Send 'em on over."
Pretty cool stuff. Really dig the phrasing and the hip lines... His picking technique seems somewhat unorthodox but it sure works for him! Looking forward to working with Lorn in the future.
