Just picked up a used Universal Audio Golden Reverberator and Starlight Echo Delay. Probably the highest build quality, best sounding pedal format time effects I have ever had - and I have owned a TON of time based stomps at all price points. Both pedals have tons of features that I have not fully explored yet. While not entirely ‘intuitive’ it is possible to get up and running pretty darned quickly. I‘ve got a singe repeat EP setting on the Starlight feeding a warm, medium plate setting on the Verb and it is absolutely Ted Templeman Grand Central. While this setting just begs you to rip off whatever riffs and rhythms you know from the first 2 VH albums, it really just makes the guitar sound so ‘huge’ that it works with darned near anything you want to play. I’m digging these. I’m just a bit surprised that UA didn‘t package these into a single unit. Maybe call it the Universal Audio Time Machine…
