Ordered 4 channel snake cable, jacks, and some Canare GS-4 from Redco and built myself a new pedalboard loom today. Nova delay goes in the loop, everything else out front. Big orange footswitch controls clean, gain 1/2, master 1/2, and fx loop bypass. Loop is running in parallel mode because series is for homos.  I kid, I kid.

Simple and effective.

Thank you. kind sir. Another fellow who appreciates simplicity.

This might be one of the only pedalboards that I have seen in a looooong time that does not have an OD or Dist pedal on it. No need with teh EP. No sir.

Delay and wah is all you really need. Everything else is extra.

Agreed.

I do like a bit of modulation in there. The Corona is cool and I may throw my 70s Phase 90 on the board at some point but the tone suck on that thing is awful. The price for that sweet ass phase.

Cool. Tell me about the 4 channel snake cable. What are you plan to send through it? I've been thinking of doing that myself just to clean up the mess going to my amp from the pedals.

Hey Dave, the snake cable is from Redco: http://www.redco.com/shopexd.asp?id=456

I am using it only for the 4 button foot switch that controls the functions on my amp so no audio passes through it. Instead of having four cables for the foot switch alone, which would obviously get messy, I opted to make this snake to keep it nice and tidy. For the audio part, I used Canare GS-4 and made two long cables for the delay to go into the amp's parallel loop. My amp's send and return controls easily drive the long cable run with zero probs. I used all Switchcraft ends, soldered and heat shrinked everything.

Very nice setup. I don't know much about switching systems or effects loops routing though. Do you have to do any degree of tap dancing if you want to switch on the chorus and change to clean simultaneously ?

very cool! Got me thinking I could do the same for my stuff on the board that I run thru the loop. As it sits now I have 3 big cables cluttering the stage running from my board, 1 for amp input and 2 into the loop for reverbs and delays. I could buy some 4 channel and build a single cable to handle all of it and clean up some stage....

Looks awesome Jason, love the orange foot-switch for the EP! :rawk:

I have a Pedaltrain JR board which is laid out similar to your board. I'm actually about to build myself a little mini board for local pub gigs and when i'm guesting at other gigs.
