I talked to Funky Munky Music.

THey've been flooded with calls because of the leaked info in these posts on here, HRI, and MTS.

These guitars haven't even been built yet.

There will only be one orange one per store. I already wasn't the first guy to call, and that was over 30 hours ago.

It takes a non-refundable deposit

The specs aren't even really known by anyone.

But they will be badass USA Charvels for $1000.

About goddamn time, Fender!! Sheesh....they'll rework the Strat to death but won't reintroduce product from their other brands. FWIW, I'd love to see some Guild Bluesbirds reintroduced as well.

Just do a reverse lookup for the number and it gave me Funky Monkey. I have total fraud protection so I am not worried but yeah it is the store and yeah I spoke with a Scott as Rich is out right now.

However, i have a feeling we'll be looking at another situation like the model series back in the 80's, they were not that bad but nothing like a San Dimas made one. I mean, how are they still going to sell the 3K ones if they have ones selling for $1,000.00?

Bah. If anyone should not be taking part in pre-release hype it's Randall. Maybe instead of hyping what another company isn't ready to release Randall could finally release the KH-2 and KH-3 production models that were supposed to be "ready to go" at NAMM 4 months ago?

My Fender rep was in yesterday and said nothing is CONFIRMED on these guitars. No confirmed colors except black of course. No release date. No set specs.

I suspect we will be seeing USA Charvels get as much attention to detail as $1000 USA Fender strats get. We are going to be talking about production line guitars here right? A strat headstock and a cool logo do not equal the magic that was in those old Charvels and even some of the good parts built clones. They will probably be good guitars just like a Standard strat is a good guitar.
