Just still working on this Telecaster project and not sure which company to go with. Nothing superfluous, just a straight up tele.

Used USA. One on here for $900 asking....
I stand corrected...

There are a few things I'm doing differently

These four Warmoths are mine. All finishes and fret work were done by Warmoth, I assembled them. I can't say enough great things about Warmoth. I'm planning to build number five next year if that tells you anything.

Thanks, Warmoth rocks. Their customer service is excellent.

I thought the US customs was suing Warmoth or something based on the title.

Hmm, straight up Tele? Fender maybe,,just a thought

If you do a search on Gear Page, dozens of threads will pop up. I think one gets started weekly over there.

My thoughts are that they all make a similar product of similar quality. It seems that people like the different companies because one may not offer something that the other offers. Also, with the amount of product that all 3 companies put out, people are bound to get dogs once in a while.

Personally, I've bought about 5 necks directly from Warmoth and they have been outstanding. The one neck I bought from Musikraft felt great, but it was the worst neck I've ever had when it came to weather changes. It had a nitro finish, but come winter, the frets would be sticking out of the neck further than a cheap squier. I haven't had a chance to try anything from USACG, but it also bothers me that their headstock is slightly off from Fender's.

So basically, if you do enough research, you are going to find people complaining about or worshiping each companies product, so make the decision based up the spec's that you need rather than what others are going to say.

Hence the "I stand corrected".

It'll probably look like a straight up Telecaster... But there'll be a few things mo-friendly to it :D

I'm ignorant when it comes to building a guitar. How did you learn this? Warmoth have resources?

I am thinking the orange flame thing you had there in a Tele body. Humbucker bridge, Strat middle, tele neck. Std tele body and neck wood.

There is a wealth of knowledge and help right here:

I emailed them a couple weeks ago, and they said they would make me a tele neck with an angled headstock. Ebony board and an angled headstock? That'll make the purists squirm.
Gonna have to off one of my amps to build one tho.....

Musikraft ;)

I have a couple of USGC Charvel repro's bodies and happy with them. I have one Warmoth maple neck/fb with ebony cross inlays neck that is cool. When I was building my parts monsters, the big ass D rout on warmoth bodies bugged me. For custom necks they weren't even considered because Musikraft would build me what I wanted including 2/1/4 heels.
