Use of multipin connectors with pedalboard/rack rigs?

I'm wondering if these connectors made by Amphenol and Gepco are a good idea for connecting signals on a pedalboard to a pair of small racks?

Is there any issue sending hi-z guitar signals on a pair of these pins if the signal is buffered?

I'm not going to run AC on this. Just unbalanced signals (guitar, front of amp pedals, tap tempo) and MIDI. I'm just wondering if the solder points on these connectors are only set up for balanced wiring? If so should I need adjust for losing the extra pin (or the ring on a TRS)? Should I get more pins than I need? To clarify, I'll try and make this as brief as I can.

In RACK #1 - I'm going to have an amp switcher, RJM Amp Gizmo, acoustic guitar preamp and Furman Power (to power my heads, the second rack and the pedalboard) in one 4 space rack.

In RACK #2 - I will have a line mixer, an RJM RG16 and a shelf with my delays, reverbs and an M5 for pattern tremolo and odd effects in a 4 space rack.

RACK #1 will have MIDI (5 pins) the guitar/pedals signal (2 pins) and a return from the rack with a tuner out from the Aco. Preamp to a pedal on the board (2 pins) That is 9 pins total.

RACK #2 will have MIDI (5 pins) one side of an analog tremolo (2pins) a signal from the guitar to the M5 (2 pins) and three sets of tap tempo from my JHV3 master tap (6 pins) That is 10 pins total.

I could use the larger Amphenol and just split the connectors at the two racks, or would using two smaller one dedicated to each rack be a better idea as I could also have similar connectors on the "rack end"? My main concern is if my TS connections have to be wired as TRS because of the way the multipin is built. I have yet to find a photo of that side of the connector. If that's the case my "2 pins" signals are now "3 pin", and my MIDI would need 6 a piece making the total 28 pins.

Am I over thinking this? It seems like it would be a great idea for a quick set up and break down, especially if your the second slot on a three band bill. That and I hate clutter and rats nest of cabling.
