So today I put away my tube heads, turned off the Kemper and pulled out my old Peavey Vypyr 15 modeler out of my wife's closet (my closet has all the good shit) and wanted to hear how it would sound in a direct recording straight into my interface. Added the free Mesa Ownhammer IRs for shits and giggles.

Tell me what you guys think?

Not bad at all. You could make a record with that thing.

Tbh, modelers have come so far, even the cheaper ones that they offer pretty much a sufficient sound for making a record.

That's awesome. You can get some amazing tones out of these things. I have the 60w power tube version. Video was insane.

Thanks guys! Yeah honestly if I knew I could get direct recorded sounds to sound decent way back when I got the vypyr I think my amp journey would have been drastically different. Oh well, No Regerts!
