Not sure why this wouldnt work but here is what I am thinking... (1 TSL100 and 1 DSL100)

I know the TSL100 FX loop isnt fully series, but the DSL100 is..

Anyone see a reason why this wouldn't work?

EDIT: added photo

that's how I run my cobra and triamp together. Cobra fx send - timefactor- output a- cobra return output b- triamp return

out on the road i use this kind of setup with an x3 live into the returns of two jcm900 half stacks.

i'm not sure why you are concerned with series or parallel effects loops in this kind of setup. by running into the returns of the marshalls you are basically turning them into power amps, bypassing the preamp section of each amp. (unless im missing what the picture represents.)

Yeah, you are interpreting the picture correct. why I mentioned it is because I was thinking if I used JUST the power section of the TSL100 (being parallel) without the preamp would induce noise/signal loss because its expecting some of the preamp signal to get thrown thru too, even if its at 100% mix. Hard to explain what i'm thinking I guess.. SO it would make the most sense to setup with the left amp as the DSL100, and the right amp as the TSL100.

I am aware of marshall's rackmount 50 and 100W monoblock amps or whatever but they are so expensive, might as well just buy another head. I currently have the TSL100, dont have the DSL100 yet so I can't try this out in real life yet to know if there is actually a significance to the TSL100 being parallel in this case.

if i'm seeing the picture correctly then your guitar would not be fed into either amp if you were using them as power amps.

so maybe i'm not understanding how or what you want to run into the returns of the two amps.

in my setup the x3 live is the preamp and where all of my effects come from. the x3 live has outs that are fed into the returns of two amps, using the two amps as poweramps, for a stereo setup.

now if in your picture that is just an effects unit then that will work as well but if you have all the pieces available why not just try it and see for yourself? :)

From the diagram, I see him running into amp 1, effect send to effect unit, stereo returns running to amp 1 and amp 2 effect returns.

This will work fine, I do this with my Budda's all the time.
Use the controls on amp 1 as normal to dial in your sound. Amp 2 is a clone in tone and level and none of the eq or volumes operate.

I mentioned I would try this but I dont have another head yet, I only have a TSL100.

Thanks, Yeah I figured the controls wouldnt work on the slave amp but thats fine as long as it works.
