Using AI to steal someone's voice

We've all seen/heard some of the fake AI videos using Trump's, Obama's, or Biden's voice in a funny skit or whatever. I just came across a video of a random Youtuber showing another channel used AI to steal his voice and make their own videos. They guy's whos voice was stolen is just a anime/dragon ball channel, but it shows what kind of nefarious shit people can pull with this technology. You can still tell it's an AI voice by the way it speaks, but I think it's going to get harder and harder at some point to hear the difference. And in this case... really, this other channel couldn't just read their own script or pay a small fee to someone to do it?

Just thinking to the scams that would come out of this. Fake AI generated confessions. Hell, I wouldn't put it past political opponents or the MSM to use fake AI voices of politicians to push their agenda.

With my luck sometimes I'd ask for James Earl Jones and come out sounding like Steve Urkel.

Maybe they are telling us most of it has been AI impersonations and manufactured reality for years. Nothing is out of the realm of possibility considering the earth is not a blue beach ball floating around in space eh?
