Using just one speaker of my 2x12 Cab

Just a lazy thought

Is there a possible way to use just the one speaker of my 2x12 cad without hurting either the cab or amp?
Par example, what if I connect the 16Ohm output of the amp at the one jack of the cad (side A) and plug a "blind" cable at the other (side B) without connecting it to any other amp?

I am just curious if this could help when practicing at home.

I can connect a regular guitar cable, am I right?

There will be no problem if I play for long time?

My questions are quite stupid, but I really dont want to damage my staff, for such a silly reason

Just any cable or plug ...into the side which is labelled "mono", you use for the connection the "stereo" labelled jack then.

Keep in mind that (say you have Vintage 30 speakers) the max. wattage of a single is 60 Watts.
