V30/Creamback M65 Mix: Who's tried this?

I have a V30/Creamback H75 mix in my diagonal 2x12 right now and am thinking to tame the highs a bit by using a Creamback M65 as the (diagonal) top speaker. My cab also has a 1/3 open back on the top, so it thumps huge, but also fills the room and is not directlonal. That also means more highs and mids compared to if it was fully closed.

All is played with modded Marshall amps, i.e. Splawn, etc.

Anyone have a good experience with the V30/CB M65 mix?

I did it for a bit...

Have a Avatar Contemporary 2x12 that was loaded with 2 Creamback 65's and an Engl 2x12 loaded with V30's... QUITE the difference in tone... but, the Creambacks were very smooth and rounded out the harshness of the V30's (they weren't THAT harsh).

A good combination overall... I just moved back to Eminence though...

But, yes, the Creamback/V30 combo sounded pretty good... for what it's worth, I had the two cabs on top of one another, Creambacks on the bottom.

Perfect pair is Cream H75 and M65

I just tried it this week and here's what I noticed...Keep in mind it's in a diagonal 2x12 with the V30 on bottom and M65 diagonal top.

-Noticeable volume drop
-Less 'harsh' than the V30/H75 combo (V30 bottom/H75 diagonal top)
-Seemed like it had a less "gainy" sound than before; I turned my gain (and volume) up to get to the sound I was used to.

It was interesting, but I'm not sure it's a keeper. I may try the H75 bottom/M65 diagonal top to see, but ulimtately, I may like the V30/H75 combo best or just two H75's.
