Hey guys! I use Mesa Traditional 4x12 cabinets loaded with V30s. I have the opportunity to buy a Bogner 4x12 uberkab with the V30/G12T75 cross pattern. Does anyone have any experience with the uberkab with cross pattern or how sounds or might sound compared to a Mesa cab loaded with V30s? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I've had an Uberkab, but it wasn't loaded with the combo (bought it empty and loaded my silver label G12-30s in there). It was however the biggest sounding cab I've ever owned.... even with those mild 30 watters in there.

Right now I've got a Marshall 1960B and Line6 (V30 version) that I've loaded both in the X-pattern with V30s/T75s. I've been rocking them this way for about a month or so. Jury's still out on the combo for me though. I kind of dug the straight 4 X T75 load as it was. Pleasant, flat or slightly scooped tone that worked well for modern rock/metal to my ears without being harsh. The X-pattern combo isn't obnoxious. I'm just not sure yet whether it's a marked improvement over straight T75s for my purposes.

Check out this video:

It inspired me to get an Uberkab recently. I play a Mesa Roadster and the Uberkab is hands down the best cab I have ever heard. I'm very happy with it. I think I'm going to pick up another one.

I have a Mesa Trad and love it. I also want an Uberkab but would not sell the Mesa to get it. I'd rather have both.

They both do things that the other can't, especially under a mic. I agree with D, both is the ticket!

Yep the combo was best. Hard decision.

The Uber sounded a little darker, maybe more dry?..

But a different amp and guitar could have different results.

UberKab is one of the best modern metal cabs I've ever heard, FWIW.

Me too...Justin (Leib) and I compared his Uber and my Deliverance with my Pitbull, His Twin Jet and his Rev. 2.

For the various amps Uber won hands down, was just bigger and gave you that holy shit factor.

I actually prefer my Deliverance with the Pitbull because it sounded slightly darker.

But the Twin Jet with winged C, Uberkab and active pups was a metal tone to die for.

I'd say stick 2 C90's in there with the V30's for a thicker, tighter, fuller and crunchier sound!
Best cost effective method IMO but I'd like to try this combo in an Uberkab and compare the 2.

I've tried to mix various speakers in a quad cab and :dunno: came to the conclusion that preferred all the same type of speaker in a 4x12 cab :dunno: :dunno:

I have one, and I have also owned a Mesa w/v30's.You should at least play it and see what you think.(if you can)A lot of people describe them as sounding dark.I find it to be a versatile cab.It is capable of everything from brootz to blues, and sounds awesome as well.To my ears they are leaps and bounds above Mesa cabs.
