Hi guys,

Forgive me if this should instead be in like the Member Classifieds, since it does involve a cabinet I'm selling.

But my cabinet is a 4x12, 16ohm, and the loaded with two G12H 30watt 70th Anniversary Speakers, and two G12M 20 watt Greenbacks.

I was trying to sell for like $500, with local pickup only, just to get this tank of a cabinet (real wood inside so it's heavy as hell) out of my apt, and one guy who's interested tells me he'd probably have to replace the Greenbacks because the particular model in my cab don't have a good reputation, and is trying to talk me down in price with that information.

Does anyone who knows these speakers can confirm? Or is it the opposite case where I should be trying to sell this cab for way more etc haha?

I disagree with the speakers having a bad rep. The prospective buyer might not like them but that would be up to them to sell them to replace them with something else.

4X12 cabs are really hard to move these days so expect to take a bit of a hit on resale. What is the brand of the cabinet?

It's Divided by Thirteen, which seems to be somewhat a good brand? As mentioned it does have real wood inside and the guy who installed the 70th Anniversary speakers for me raved about the cabinet and how much better it was than a Marshall haha.

theres no need to replace the speakers, dudes full of shit. the speakers alone are worth probably $350ish, divided by 13 is a high end boutique company, i wouldnt sell it for any less that $400

I’d say it worth what you’re asking. Divided By 13 amps are some well made, boutique shit. Today, I’ve got a guy picking up my Greenback loaded Marshall 1960B for $500.

Thanks!

Those are the Heritage G12M's same as the EVH model and yes different than regular Greenbacks. BUT that cab and those speakers are worth every bit of $500 if not more. Divided by 13 are some of the best sounding and build 4x12's, if I was local I would be happy to buy that cab for $500! Tell that guy to bugger off..

That is one of the best cabs out there. You should be asking probably $600. That guy is a stooge.

Thanks for the reply! I can't seem to find anyone who will buy for even $500, probably the local pickup only is the issue, but I really don't feel like shipping it...unless I add the actual idk $200 shipping or whatever it would be to the reverb post.
