This will be a disaster. Mark my words...

Doesn't matter though... EVH's minions will still be out screaming "EDDIE!!! EDDDIE!!! EDDIE!!!" while he rolls around on the stage with his guitar feeding back through that goddamn sustainer...

it can't be much worse than many of the other releases from men approaching 60 from that era
Right. Exactly.

"Shanks has worked with massive pop acts including MILEY CYRUS, BACKSTREET BOYS, ALANIS MORISSETTE and CÉLINE DION."

What can possible go wrong???

Besides that, the project includes a man who can no longer sing and a man who can no longer play guitar...

Didn't he ditch the sustainer after 2004? I don't remember hearing it on the 2008 tour with Roth.

From what I hear, this album is going to be killer. I'm looking forward to it.

I have heard first hand that it is really good as well.

Mr Shanks can handle divas, why he was brought in.

Being a huge van halen fan, i remain optimistic. hopefully they create something worth listening too

I doubt decent is an option though. It will either be great, or a complete trainwreck :aww: .

I thought Van Halen broke up in the 80's and their last album was 1984? :(

So who did mister Shanks get to play guitar and sing if this is sounding good?

There are plenty of amazing, ridiculous players aproaching their 60's.

I would argue the best players on the planet are approaching their 60's.

Pay attention. :gethim:

Depends on what drinks Eddie was mixing during recording. Healthy protein shakes or Vodka slammers ?

On the 07/08 tour Eddie sounded good to me, not sure if he does know or not but when I saw the tour he sounded good.
Roth's voice is mostly gone.
